Bis jetzt finde ich es sehr spannend, Deinen Blog zu verfolgen. Insbesondere, da ich mich seit einiger Zeit auch mit Avaya Networking Produkten beschäftige. Im Moment allerdings nur die “kleineren” Komponenten.
Aber ich habe eine Frage und hoffe, Du hast einen Tipp für mich. Ich suche nach einer Möglichkeit, regelmäßig und automatisiert Backups der Komponenten erstellen zu lassen. Und zwar ohne zwingend auf den COM angewiesen zu sein.
Ich habe im Blog von Michael McNamara gelesen, dass er ein Script geschrieben hat, dass das Backup per SNMP anstößt. Ich glaube, es war ein Python Script. Allerdings konnte ich das nicht wirklich nachvollziehen.
Vielleicht hast Du ja eine Idee für eine Idiotensichere Idee.

Quick translation for the non German speakers:
The question from Florian is how to get Backups for Avaya switches.
If you don´t wont to use COM, wich is the most easy way to get backups you can try a custom backup script. I use like Michael a custom made backup script. Here I would use the script language that you feel comfortable with. Another possible way is to use a scripting engine like Ansible. A colleague of me has programmed a scripting tool like Ansible, maybe an open source version of this programm is available at the end of this year.
